The Story Book

Turn any game into a book to read back, print or save as a PDF, with its chapters, pictures and newspaper stories.

The Story Book turns your game so far into a book: your story as it happened, laid out to read back, print or keep. It's free for everyone and costs no turns.

Open it from the menu at the top right of your story: choose Story Book.

What's in it

  • A cover with the story's title, your portrait, your name and the world.
  • Chapters. In the historical eras each chapter is one day in the story, headed with its date and where you were. Elsewhere a new chapter starts every eight turns.
  • The story itself: the narrator's words, with what you did shown between them in your own words.
  • Your pictures: every moment you illustrated (see Timekeeper Mode) appears where it happened.
  • The local paper: in the historical eras, any newspaper story written about you appears on the day it was printed.
  • At the end of each chapter, how you stood: your health, stress and renown (in the myths: stamina, hubris and glory).
  • An epilogue: if your character has died, their obituary closes the book.

Saving it as a PDF

Use Download PDF at the top of the book. Your browser's print window opens: choose Save as PDF as the printer, and turn on Background graphics to keep the cover and the paper colour. The book is laid out for A5 pages.

Tip: The book is made fresh each time you open it, so it always includes your latest turns and pictures.
