Memory & Context

How the game remembers turn 1 on turn 100, without slowing down.

Many AI chat games forget your name and your inventory after a few dozen turns. Live Through Time doesn't.

  • A permanent record: your Ledger, inventory, relationships and Directory are stored in a database, not just in the conversation.
  • Relevant memories, every turn: the cards that matter to the current scene, and the people connected to them, are given to the narrator each turn.
  • Story summaries: long stories are summarised chapter by chapter so the narrator always knows what came before.
  • Clean context: old game data is stripped from the narrator's short-term memory so it stays fast and focused on the present.

Your memory isn't limited by your tier.
