When we first mapped out the architecture for Live Through Time, we had a very specific blueprint in mind: a definitive roster of timelines spanning the most fascinating eras of human history and ancient mythology.
Today, that original vision is fully realized. With our recent era & myth launches, our foundational lineup is complete. But more importantly, the platform has evolved from a curated sandbox into a community-driven multiverse.
Here is a look at the worlds currently running on the platform, what the community has built, and a tease of what comes next.
The Official Roster: History and Myth
Our core library is powered by two distinct narrative systems, featuring 136 handcrafted stories:
- The Hourglass Engine (12 Historical Eras): Grounded in rigid historical accuracy. The timeline stretches from the gladiatorial arenas of 80 AD Rome and the plague-ridden streets of 1348 London, all the way to the trenches of 1917 and the espionage of 1983 divided Berlin.
- The Oracle Engine (7 Mythological Sagas): Built for canonical folklore. Gods and monsters are real, and the AI never tries to explain them away with modern logic. You can navigate the Egyptian underworld of the Duat, survive the Norse fate woven by the Norns in Midgard, or petition the Heavenly bureaucracy in Shenzhou.

The Unbound Engine: Community Creations
While we have been building the official roster, our players have been using the Unbound Engine to completely rewrite the rules.
Our community has already built over 80 custom worlds across nine different languages. 24 of these are entirely Open or Public, allowing anyone to drop in, play, and expand the lore. Players aren't just making generic fantasy taverns; they are building incredibly diverse, deeply specific universes including:
- Historical Epics: The Battle of Edington (878), The Ember of ‘76, Winter’s Reckoning (Imperial Russia) and Space - Race To The Moon.
- Sci-Fi & Cyberpunk: The Rupture (a universe where FTL is disabled, forcing brutal close-quarters boarding actions), dystopian android societies, and classic space-opera rebellions.
- Intrigue & Espionage: The MacGuffin Files (an anthology series of espionage thrillers), The Bond Files, and Macau and Paris (Napoleonic era intrigue).
- Fantasy & Modern Life: Aerie’s Crucible (dragon riders), Jade Dynasty: Celestial Blade Saga, Forged in Austerity (post-war Britain survival), and The Unfinished Struggle (South Africa, 2026).
- Superhero Franchises: Player-crafted DC Universe and Marvel Universe adaptations.
What Comes Next?
While our Unbound Engine lets you build anything, we are currently developing a completely new engine to sit alongside Hourglass and Oracle.
Without giving too much away, this upcoming game mode leaves the long, open-ended adventure behind. Told in short, timed scenes set in very different times and places, some scenes will go your way and some won’t, and whatever happens leaves a mark that you carry into the next one.
The Next Official Era:
While we are working on new engines, we are also preparing to outline our next official historical timeline.
- World War II: French resistance, occupied territories, and behind-enemy-lines espionage.
- The Italian Renaissance (c. 1492): Florence or Venice. High art, political betrayal, and deadly court intrigue.
- The Roaring Twenties (c. 1925): Prohibition-era New York. Jazz, bootlegging, and the rise of the modern syndicates.
